If you make it too simple, more people can do it, and the exclusivity of the profession is threatened. The VFX community has a very high bar to entry. They argued that Fusion already provides tools, and there is no need to make it simpler for users. I've previously made this suggestion, but was surprised that there were experienced users who said, "no need". See how Microsoft PowerPoint offers a range of basic shapes, dotted lines, heart shapes, etc. I believe Fusion should add facility to create basic shapes. Sure, it's possible to do in Fusion, but incredibly difficult. This thread here shows the hoops we have to jump through just to create a dotted line.
